Summary of policies

The Microgeneration Certification Scheme is aimed at providing an assessment and an approval that a RES installation complies with specific standards. Depending on the technology, requirements may vary, but are nevertheless usually linked to an internationally recognized standard (e.g. EN 12975-1: 2006 for solar thermal installations).

Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult-ORE is an offshore wind R&D hub that focuses on innovation across the sector and accelerating the success of UK companies in the offshore wind, wave and tidal sectors.
