Summary of support schemes
- Subsidy: “Support Scheme for PV and Biomass/ Biogas 2017” Scheme aims at supporting the purchase and installation of PV until 3kW for vulnerable social groups that will operate under a net-metering scheme.
- Net metering I (for households, public administration and industrial/commercial units): “Support Scheme for PV and Biomass/ Biogas 2017” Scheme introduces a net-metering system in Cyprus. Households and public administration entities are eligible (PV installations) as well as legal entities (off-grid PV installations). As of 2018, the Scheme continues only for industrial/ commercial units and public administration buildings (autonomous PV between 10kW-10,000kW).
- Net metering II (for households, public administration and industrial/commercial units): “Support Scheme for Electricity Production from RES for own consumption” is a net-metering/ net-billing system in Cyprus. Households and public administration entities are eligible (PV installations) as well as legal entities (off-grid PV installations).
