| Purpose | This Law establishes rules for generation, transmission, distribution and supply of electricity in the Republic of Kosovo. It partially transposes EU legislation, including the Directive 2009/72/EC on common rules for the internal market in electricity and the Regulation 714/2009/EC on conditions for access to the grid for cross-border exchanges in electricity. |
| Relevance for renewable energy | The Law regulates certificates of origin for electricity produced from renewable energy sources. It also reaffirms the priority dispatch for electricity from renewable energy. |
