Renewable energy policy database and support

Electricity producers are contractually entitled against the grid operator to the connection of renewable energy plants to the grid. The grid operator is obliged to conclude connection agreements without discriminating against certain plant operators. Renewable energy plants are not given priority.

Plant operators are contractually entitled against the grid operator to use the grid. The grid operator is obliged to conclude agreements on connection and use without discriminating against certain plant operators. Renewable energy plants are not given priority.

Plant operators may be contractually entitled to the expansion of the grid if the connection of a plant to the grid requires the grid to be extended. The grid operator is generally obligated to expand the grid in order to provide the Public Service Obligation (PSO -  "Service Public de l'Électricité").
