Summary of support schemes

Tax regulation mechanism. Companies producing, processing, holding, receiving or dispatching energy products are obliged to pay a defined amount of tax (excise duty). This amount is reduced or need not be paid at all when the fuel is mixed with biofuels.

Subsidies. The Slovenian Environmental Fund (Eko sklad) invites applications for non-repayable grants.

Technologies

The tax regulation mechanism and the biofuels quota apply to biofuels only.
