Updated: 09.01.2019

Heat generated from renewable energy sources is supported through subsidy and loan schemes as well as priority purchase obligation. Renewable energy in transport is promoted through a biofuels quota obligation.
Access to the electricity grid for renewable energy generators is granted with priority. Furthermore, grid operators must give electricity from renewable sources priority dispatch. Plant operators are not entitled to the development of the grid.
In Poland, there is only one policy programme related to renewable energy plants, namely: certification of installers of RES installations.
