The feed-in premium is available for unused electricity from biogas and hydropower installations above 500 kW and below 1 MW (RES-Act, Art. 70a.2)). The premium serves to equalise negative balance incurred by the electricity generator if the price for unused electricity is lower than in the approved declaration.

Process flow	In order to sell unused electricity pursuant to RES-Act, Art. 70a.2), the electricity generator submits a declaration of intent of sale of unused electricity at a fixed purchase price determined in accordance with Art. 70e to the President of the Energy Regulatory Office. The declaration is to be submitted online (RES-Act, Art. 70b.1) & 2)).
