Quota obligation (Law on Energy from Renewable Sources)

The Law on Energy from Renewable Energy Sources establishes an obligation for fuel traders to sell petrol containing 5-10% biofuels and diesel containing at least 7% biofuels. 

Eligible technologies

The Law on Energy from Renewable Energy Sources sets an obligation for fuel traders to sell petrol containing 5-10% biofuels and diesel containing at least 7% biofuels (Chapter VII Art. 39 Par. 1 Law on Energy from Renewable Energy Sources).

Addressees

Supported under this scheme are the biofuel producers. 

Procedure

Competent authority

The share of biofuels in petrol and diesel is set by the Government or its authorized institution (Chapter VII Art. 36 Par. 7 Law on Energy from Renewable Energy Sources).
