| Purpose | The decision power over addi-tional wind power capacity has been shifted from the Hungarian Energy Regulatory and Public Utility Authority to the Hungarian government in 2016. Therefore, the government is entitled to determine the additional wind power capacity allowed to be constructed on Hungarian terri-tory. |
| Relevance for renewable energy | The Hungarian government has decided to impede the construc-tion of wind power plants in 2016 and 2017. Therefore, ten-dering procedures for the sup-port renewable electricity gen-eration are irrelevant for poten-tial wind plant operations at least until 2018. |
