| Purpose | The purpose of this law is to promote the use of renewable energy sources for the production of electricity and energy for heating and cooling. In addition it promotes the use of renewable energy in the transport sector. It also provides a regulatory framework in general and in particular for the technical infrastructure for renewable energy sources and efficient cogeneration. |
