Support schemes

In Lithuania, renewable energy use in the transport sector is promoted through several support schemes. These include the reimbursement of raw materials for biofuel production by the National Paying Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture, the obligation to sell petrol and diesel blended with biofuels (quota obligation), an excise tax relief and an exemption from environmental pollution tax.
