Biofuel quota

Requirements for Conformity Assessment of Petrol and Diesel Fuel set an obligation for fuel traders to sell petrol and diesel containing 4.5-7% of biofuels. The share of biofuels will gradually increase to an estimated 8.5% in 2020.

Eligible technologies

Government sets an obligation for fuel traders to sell petrol and diesel containing 4.5-7% of biofuels. According to the requirements, unleaded petrol must contain 4.5-5% biofuels, but diesel petrol 4.5-7% (§ 2 par. 8, § 3 par. 9 Requirements for Conformity Assessment of Petrol and Diesel Fuel).
