Exemplary role of public authorities

Act No. 406/2000 Coll. on Energy Management and Decree No. 78/2013 Coll. on Energy Performance of Buildings stipulate that all public buildings undergoing a major refurbishment have to undergo a renewable energy use assessment since 2012. The amendment of Act No. 406/2000 envisages that if renewable energy sources are technically, economically and environmentally feasible, they will have to be incorporated in all new or refurbished buildings.
