Competent authority
The certification of installers is carried out by the EN ISO/IEC 17024 accredited personal certification body of the Austrian Research and Examination Centre. Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT). The biomass heating installer is accredited by the Biomass Association in collaboration with the Economic Promotion Institute (WIFI). The WIFI also provides for certified vocational programmes as well.

Private Financing | The costs for the specialisation programmes are borne by the installers themselves. |

State | The costs for the specialisation programmes might be reduced through promotion grants for continuing education from the federal states or the labour market service for Austria (Arbeitsmarktservice Österreich) |
