Support schemes
The main supporting instrument for renewable energy sources in Albania is a feed-in tariff. Currently, the feed-in tariff has only been adopted for hydro-power plants.
Grid issues
The grid operator is obliged to connect to the system any energy generating plant meeting the conditions for connection.
Electricity produced from renewable energy sources enjoys priority and guaranteed connection to the grid.
